Sandy is an award winning photographer, having achieved his Distinction with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and is an Associate with the Societies of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers. He was awarded Best Nature Image at the 2021 Scottish Photography Federation Digital Competition and Wildlife Behaviour category winner at the Scottish Nature Photography Awards in 2021.
