Puffin Emerging rom the Mist

A puffin returning from sea with a beak full of sand eels for its young. Taken on the Isle of May on a misty day in 2021. This image shows the bird in its natural environment. The background is a focus merge of three images of the sea stacks on the Isle of May and the puffin was taken separately and composited into the frame. This is the only way to maximise the depth of field and ensure front to back sharpness.
